七宝丸

I’ve been reaching for this spice/dashi blend every time I cook something that needs a quick umami kick. It’s a pantry staple in my kitchen now, and the fact that it’s gift-possible means I’ve already ordered a few to send to friends.

The heat builds slowly but it's the kind that lingers on the tongue, perfect for a cold night stew. The jar seals tight and the paste is thick, so a little goes a long way in a stir-fry.

Been using it for a week now and the compact size is perfect for my workspace. The smooth finish feels surprisingly premium for the price.
