ラグのお手入れについて
普段のお手入れは、毛並みにそってやさしく掃除機をかけ、ほこりやゴミを取り除くだけで十分です。
月に一度程度、固く絞ったやわらかい布巾で、毛並みの方向に沿って上から押すように拭くと、より綺麗に使い続けることができます。ペットの毛も毛並みに沿って撫でるように拭くことで取り除くことができます。
カビ対策のため、定期的な風通しのいい場所での陰干しをおすすめします。重く大きなラグの場合、すのこの上に干すのが便利です。外出する際に片面だけめくっておき、換気をするのも効果的です。
部分的に汚れた場合
日々の食べこぼしなどの汚れは、ウール自体の油分がはじくため、すぐに拭き取れば簡単に落とせる場合がほとんどです。
部分的な汚れを落とすには、普段お使いのシャンプーを10倍程度の水で薄め泡立てたもの、または中性洗剤を使用し、布巾で固く絞り丁寧に押して拭きます。
ラグが濡れているとカビの原因になるため、洗った箇所はドライヤーで乾かし、陰干しをしてください。
小さめのラグは水洗いが比較的手軽にできますが、干した際に染料が垂れる場合がございます。洗った場合は1日半〜2日かけて裏表しっかり乾かしてください。
