忘れ去られた物の歴史にインスピレーションを求め生まれるインセンスホルダーは、一点ものならではの美しさに満ちています。一度廃れた古来の技法を用い、膨大な時間と工程を経てしか宿せない、夢心地にさせる、あたたかみのある存在感。白い釉薬から透ける茶褐色の土の風合いや、釉薬のむら、ゆがみなど、それぞれに表情が異なり、個性があります。

1996年2人のクリエイターがパリの工房で陶器製造をスタート。18世紀のパリで最盛期を迎えた陶器製造の技術を継承。職人の手作り、1点ものの美しさを大切にしている。最大の魅力は、昔の製法を用いていながら、オリジナリティにあふれる作品を生み出し続けているところ。これまで見たことがないが、どこか懐かしい。そんなスタイルを追求している。 いまでは、陶器にとどまらず、キャンドル、インセンス、ステーショナリー等、アスティエらしい創作の世界を広げている。
